The Halifax Town Papershade
I'm very fond of Halifax. It's a family place. My uncle used to be a head teacher at one of the local schools and my aunt still lives there. I love that moment when you approach the town and sweep down the road into the valley and can see all the industrial and post-industrial buildings jostled together around the River Calder. My paper lampshade captures some of the local landmarks such as the Minster, The Piece Hall (totally amazing) Dean Clough arts centre and even Anne Lister's home (Gentleman Jack) at Shibden.
The Halifax Papershade is 24cm in height, 28cm in diameter at the base and 22cm in diameter at the top. The supporting wheels has a diameter of 3cm which is the standard size for a table lamp or room light. We recommend you use a low heat, 40watt energy saving or LED bulb.
The Papershade arrives as a flatpack in an A4 envelope and you assemble it. There's a 'how to' film on the website if you get stuck. The price includes postage and packaging.
