The East Finchley Papershade
My first home was in East Finchley. I loved our house in a street at the far end of the High Road, a long street which runs from the Northern Line tube station to the North Circular. Yes, it's a long street but it's full of interest and character. And there is a ladder of 'county' roads off the High Road plus winding paths and tracks which were developed with the suburb over a hundred years ago.
The designers of the tube station gave it a wonderful art deco style and topped the curved glass building with a sculpture of an archer which is great landmark. The Phoenix Cinema can boast to be one of oldest cinemas in the UK and there are some very striking pubs and old buildings.
The East Finchley Papershade is 24cm in height, 28cm in diameter at the base and 22cm in diameter at the top. The supporting wheels has a diameter of 3cm which is the standard size for a table lamp or room light. We recommend you use a low heat, 40watt energy saving or LED bulb.
The Papershade arrives as a flatpack in an A4 envelope and you assemble it. There's a 'how to' film on the website if you get stuck. The price includes postage and packaging.
