Swirly Bloom Large hand painted Papershade
There's inspiration from Charleston and the Bloomsbury set but that's all. The design is entirely mine and I enjoyed creating this swirly design as a set. It's process art - each panel is hand-painted with inks and the design is built up in several layers. The result is joyous and fun and very colourful. I hope you like them! Each large Papershade has five, individual handpainted panels - five original artworks - and the panels are strengthened down one side to make sure that the shade is sturdy.
The LARGE Papershades are more fun than many conventional standard lampshades. But best of all, you can ask me to create a bespoke design.
These LARGE Papershades are made from A3 size Papershades paper - a fabulous cartridge paper which is strong, translucent and will take the paint perfectly. They are 42cm in height, 40cm in diameter and the hole in the centre of the 'wheel' which grips all the panels is 3cm in diameter. This is an average fitting. Larger holes are available if your standard lamp has a different diameter. (Just let me know).
