The Muswell Hill Papershade
Here's a Papershade to illuminate the neighbourhood! This design celebrates the 'village on the hill' in London's N10 postcode. It's been quite a destination since it was built around 1900 when the railway ran all the way to Alexandra Palace. (Alas the rail link was cut by Dr Beeching in the 1960s)
The Muswell Hill Papershade has its roots in the famous Muswell Hill Mug and Postcard which I designed years ago as a fundraiser for the local school. The mugs sold in their hundreds and can still be found in cupboards all over the world. The postcard was a continuation of my 'toy town' style for depicting the Broadway.
I'm interested in making Papershades of other neighbourhoods, cities, towns, villages and interesting destinations. Just let me know if you'd like to commission a design. [email protected]
