The Virginia Woolf Papershade
This Papershade offers homage to the astonishing writer Virginia Woolf leading light of the Bloomsbury Group of talented artists and writers. Privileged, well-educated, well-connected and possessing 'a room of her own' she produced some of the most inventive English literature in the first four decades of the 20th century. Her best known book is probably Mrs Dalloway but my particular favourite is To The Lighthouse. I've included Godrevy Lighthouse in Cornwall which inspired the book. She lived in beautiful Monks house near Lewes. In the collage I've created an impression of the house, Lewes Castle and the River Ouse where she ended her life.

The lampshade is designed to fit standard lamp fittings for table or pendant lamps.
